Public API launching soon — preparations underway

What's ready today

The developer surface is live for early exploration:

  • API specification — /openapi.json (OpenAPI 3.1) and an interactive API reference.
  • TypeScript SDK — @quizbase/client on npm: typed methods, automatic retry, RFC 9457 typed errors, telemetry hook.
  • Documentation — full guides, per-endpoint pages, error reference at /docs.
  • Performance baseline — sustained 50 RPS and burst-tested to 200 RPS against production. Numbers and methodology on /docs/performance.
  • Public data dump — CC-BY-SA derivatives on GitHub, no signup required. See /data.

What's next

We are focused on dataset quality and adding more languages before opening paid plans. The Free tier — including unlimited test keys and a starter quota on live keys — will keep working as it does today.
